Elysium Axe Bar is looking to hire Axe Coaches in Loudoun County, Virginia.

We are Western Loudoun’s first and only social axe throwing venue, and we are looking for outgoing and upbeat people who would like to join our fun team in Purcellville, VA.

No experience is necessary, but a willingness to give your all and learn as you go is a must.

We are open Thursday through Sunday so working weekends is a must! Our consistency, quality, and commitment to a high level of customer service are what make us a great place to visit and a great place to work.

No experience in axe throwing is necessary!

The ideal candidate is someone who is a Quick-Leaner, Enthusiastic, Outgoing, Social, Energetic, Polite, and Positive.

As an Axe Coach, you are expected to create an enjoyable and memorable experience that our guests will never forget. You will be the face of the business by greeting guests and coaching them on how to throw axes in a fun and safe way. You will be a valuable and important part of the team so being able to work alongside other axe coaches and management is also key.

While NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED, we are looking at applicants that show backgrounds in ANY OR ALL of the following: HOSPITALITY, COACHING, THEATER, TEACHING, CUSTOMER SERVICE, and ENTERTAINMENT!

Primary Roles:

  • Safety: uphold that all procedures, equipment needs and safety protocols are met AT ALL TIMES
  • Coaching: coach customers in proper throwing techniques so that they can have a memorable and successful experience
  • Day-to-Day Operations: show leadership and teamwork skills with the Elysium team, assist in merchandise sales, set-up/clean-up, etc. as needed. Ensure the facility, lanes and equipment are always event-ready and be able to assist in all aspects to keep things running smoothly. The cleaning and safety of the facility will be a priority.
  • Ambassadorship: You will be a representative and the face of Elysium and our brand. We require that you do so by sharing our passion for the sport of axe throwing in an excited and professional manner.
  • Skills: It is imperative that you have excellent oral and written communication skills as you will be communicating with and assisting our guests firsthand which also means that you will need to have strong customer service skills. Skills working computer systems will also be important so that you can be a master of the scoring systems for the axe throwing lanes.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to entertain multiple groups of people simultaneously
  • Ability to solve problems on the fly and think quickly on your feet
  • Able to be stern and enforce safety rules, in a professional and kind manner
  • Experience in coaching, teaching, demonstrating, and highlighting a skill
  • Ability to work with computers
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends
